So, aside from the obvious reasons - running a travel business - I love to travel and have loved to since I was young. Over the years, I've learned that I enjoy traveling for a few reasons that I'd like to share for anyone who's new to traveling and unsure of where to go started or even the benefits travel provides.
Primarily, as mentioned, I travel, currently, because I have a travel business. My family consists of four and two a tiny which makes travel difficult at times but we try to take at least three trips a year. Typically one out of state trip as a family, one trip to New Orleans, La. to visit family, and one trip to a major city in our home state. Each trip, with the exception of going to NOLA, is with the expectation that we're going to try and learn fun things to do with that place, try new/different hotels, and (my favorite part) to eat!
Growing up, my family traveled for fun - typically to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. In addition to some experiential travel to Pennsylvania to complete an audition, Mississippi to visit family, Arizona on a school trip, and different cruises into Mexico and the Bahamas. This is one of the main reasons I'm continuing this trend in my own family.
Finally, travel provides unlimited opportunities to learn, encounter new people, and have new experiences! The many things that we can learn while traveling are innumerable. The chance to learn about various cultures, the people of those cultures, how they interact and what their state, country, territory has to offer are reason alone to hop on a boat or plane and see the world. Not to mention the various species of animals, beauty of nature, and delicious food that you're likely to encounter.
Although, aside from some cruising to US ports in Mexico and the Bahama, we've primarily only done domestic trips. I'm excited for my children to be a little old so our international experiences can begin!
Thanks for taking the time to learn about me! Share some reasons you may choose to travel in the comments!
Have a great day!
